My second-ever album of production music, Eight Solid State was designed for use in TV commercials and as phone gatekeeper hold music. Originally written during the height of the COVID-19 emergency, the final track on the album (called "Two Weeks Notice" for obvious reasons) was written after I had tendered my resignation at my office job. I loved that job, but I loved my health more. Perhaps the tone of the last track got a little political (it's called "Two Weeks Notice", but it's upbeat and cheerful), but the album's purpose was as a proving ground for Spitfire Audio LABS and BBC Symphony Orchestra.
